The researcher will study the microbiota of European soils characterized by the presence of different pollutants through a meta-genomic and meta-transcriptomic approach. To this end, the researcher will use biomolecular and bioinformatics techniques to identify the characterizing microorganisms and analyze their regulation of metabolic pathways.
At least three years of experience in the use of biomolecular and bioinformatic techniques aimed at genomic and/or transcriptomic investigations, preferably in soils containing pollutants and/or plant organisms, or possession of a PhD degree relevant experience is required.
Skills required: proficiency in basic molecular biology techniques, ability to process RNA-seq homology data and/or 16S rRNA, 18S rRNA, and Internal Transcribed Spacer (ITS) analysis, basic bioinformatics skills, use of databases relevant to the analysis, interdisciplinary teamwork, technology integration.
